Bakersfield Sound: Hard Drivin' Country is on display on the mezzanine level of the Kern County Museum's main gallery. The exhibit features one of teh best collections of Bakersfield Sound memorabilia you will find anywhere.Some of the artifacts that will be on display include stage costumes worn by Babara Mandrell, Rose Maddox, Cousin' Ebb Pilling of Pumpkin Center Barn Dance fame, and Ronnie Sessions. A Mosrite Ventures model guitar (personally signed by local guitar maker Semie Moseley), Norman Hamlet's dobro, and Roy Rogers' cowboy hat are amongst the many artifacts that will be on display. In addition, artifacts from country music legend Buck Owens have been loaned to the museum for the exhibit by Buck Owens Enterprises.
